| “Community Schools” such as St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy are dedicated to bettering communities by cultivating a positive and nurturing environment, and by providing opportunities for growth and development in our youngest citizens. There is no better way to invest in ourselves, our community, and our future. Our Arts for All philosophy aspires for diversity and inclusiveness regardless of natural ability or financial means. Our programs increase the self-confidence in our youth while providing a sense of balance, higher purpose, and fulfillment. We fill a void left by the public school system where arts education has been cut back or cut out altogether, and we also help prepare students for higher education whether or not they choose to pursue the arts professionally.
St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy is a young organization that bridges a group of previously established programs reconfigured under the SPCAA umbrella. We have gotten off to a vibrant and promising start during the 2005-06 year. Our dedicated faculty, staff, and board are working hard to ensure the continued success of the Academy. However, tuition fees cover only a portion of our annual expenses. Additionally, we offer scholarship programs and financial aid to some of our students. The Academy is committed to making its programs available to all youth of our community and makes every effort to ensure that no child will be denied access because the family cannot afford tuition, an instrument, or supplies. With many other worthy causes competing for limited resources at the local and state level, the Academy is challenged in its attempt to make up the difference between our income and expenses. Your gift to the St. Peters Community Arts Academy will allow us to bridge the gap and ensure that our programs continue to serve everyone in the community: participants and patrons, children and adults alike. We live in a community that values the arts; let’s keep the arts alive by offering enrichment and opportunity through our youth!
