“Community Schools” such as St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy are dedicated to bettering communities by cultivating a positive and nurturing environment, and by providing opportunities for growth and development in our youngest citizens. There is no better way to invest in ourselves, our community, and our future. Our Arts for All philosophy aspires for diversity and inclusiveness regardless of natural ability or financial means.  Our programs increase the self-confidence in our youth while providing a sense of balance, higher purpose, and fulfillment. We fill a void left by the public school system where arts education has been cut back or cut out altogether, and we also help prepare students for higher education whether or not they choose to pursue the arts professionally.

St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy is a young organization that bridges a group of previously established programs reconfigured under the SPCAA umbrella. We have gotten off to a vibrant and promising start during the 2005-06 year. Our dedicated faculty, staff, and board are working hard to ensure the continued success of the Academy.  However, tuition fees cover only a portion of our annual expenses. Additionally, we offer scholarship programs and financial aid to some of our students. The Academy is committed to making its programs available to all youth of our community and makes every effort to ensure that no child will be denied access because the family cannot afford tuition, an instrument, or supplies. With many other worthy causes competing for limited resources at the local and state level, the Academy is challenged in its attempt to make up the difference between our income and expenses.

Your gift to the St. Peters Community Arts Academy will allow us to bridge the gap and ensure that our programs continue to serve everyone in the community: participants and patrons, children and adults alike.  We live in a community that values the arts; let’s keep the arts alive by offering enrichment and opportunity through our youth!

Consider the following ways to contribute to St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy:

Make an annual gift
Regular annual contributions are essential to fund the programs and services SPCAA offers. Give to our general fund or specify a particular program or scholarship fund.  Gifts can be made in the form of cash, check, or credit card. Please click here for a donation form.

Designate a gift for a scholarship fund
Indicate whether your gift is for string, piano, choir or art students.

Attend our recitals, events, and fundraisers
Building community through participation and attendance at our planned events makes a wonderful difference. Everyone benefits! Meet new people and see old friends; be a part of the excitement and success of SPCAA.

Take advantage of your employer’s matching gift program
Double the impact of your contribution by asking your employer to consider matching your donation. Many employers seek these opportunities to support their employees and the wider community.

Make a gift in honor or memory of a friend or family member
Paying tribute to a loved one to honor a lifecycle event or as a memorial contribution can be an especially meaningful way of giving.

Consider a Gift-in-Kind
As a start-up organization we have many studio classroom and office needs. Do you have any furniture, office supplies, recording equipment, musical instruments—including old but serviceable violins and pianos? Is there anything else you think we might need? Please call the SPCAA office—we will be happy to discuss your offer and provide you with a receipt for a charitable contribution to St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy.

Offer a gift of your time
Volunteering for the organization is of immeasurable value to us. Helping to coordinate events, editing a newsletter, assisting with mailings, possibly tutoring students and practice partnering—these are ways of getting involved in a significant manner.

Spread the word!
Help us serve the wider community by furthering our reach. If you know of a prospective student, we would be happy to approach the family. Help us get the word out!
